This week we are pleased to be offering corn from local growers Will and Kristina McDonald, from Mcdonald Farm in Hohenwald, TN. This is the same farm that has been supplying us with our eggs. They are chemical free.
We have tried for a few summers to find a local, non-sprayed source of corn. It is hard to grow using organic methods, and you are sure to find a small worm every now and then in the tip near the silk. Hopefully you can just break this off and proceed on with the cooking and eating of good, fresh sweet corn!
We are entering the dog days of August, and certainly appreciate your smiling, supportive faces on Wednesday!
